Summary
A member of the media made a request for video and audio evidence gathered by the Ontario Provincial Police during the arrest and incarceration of a named individual on a murder charge. The request was made to the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services. In this order, the ministry’s decision to deny access to the records under section 21(1) (personal privacy) is upheld. The public interest override at section 23 does not apply.
