Summary
The appellant sought access to information relating to invoices submitted to the City of Vaughan by law firms pertaining to a wrongful dismissal action commenced by a named individual against the city. The city refused to confirm or deny the existence of responsive records on the basis that doing so may constitute an unjustified invasion of personal privacy pursuant to section 14(5) of the
Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
. The adjudicator does not uphold the city’s section 14(5) claim and orders the city to disclose those parts of records responsive to the appellant’s request.
