Date: September 25, 2023

Right to Know Week is celebrated across Canada each year to raise awareness of the importance of access rights and open, transparent government.

From September 25 to October 1, the IPC will be sharing resources about freedom of information, how public institutions can make information more accessible, and how citizens can exercise their right to know.

Keep an eye on the IPC’s social media channels and join the conversation about access rights by following the #RTK2023 hashtag on X (formerly known as Twitter).

More information on Right to Know Week is available on the Information Commissioner of Canada’s website.
