[TORONTO, CANADA]NOVEMBER 3, 2023 – The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario announced today that its podcast, Info Matters, has been nominated at the 6th Annual CANADIAN PODCAST AWARDS for outstanding technology series. These distinguished accolades celebrate excellence in podcasting, recognizing the exceptional contributions of Canadian podcasters, editors, and producers.

Info Matters, hosted by Patricia Kosseim, the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario, delves deep into the intersections of privacy, people, and access to information. With thought-provoking conversations, Commissioner Kosseim engages with individuals from diverse backgrounds, unearthing the most pressing access and privacy concerns in our contemporary world.

“Nominees like the IPC’s Info Matters exemplify the wealth of talent we have here in Canada and reflect the unique attitudes, opinions, ideas, values, and creativity of Canadians,” said John Leschinski, Chair of the Canadian Podcast Awards. “We had over 500 podcasts submitted this year from across the country – It’s truly an incredible honour to be recognized and chosen by your fellow peers within the Canadian podcasting community.”

Voting begins October 31st and runs until November 13th. Winners will be announced during a live stream event online in December.
