The IPC is aware of the recent allegations regarding possible alteration of Toronto District School Board records subject to a freedom of information request as outlined in this morning’s Toronto Star story “Trustees lashed for report ‘tampering’.” As a result, the IPC is moving forward immediately with an inquiry into these allegations. If proven, these actions would raise significant concerns about the transparency and accountability of the Board and its compliance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
